What do you look for in a person whom you want to learn from?

Mentors are THOSE kind of people.  They are people we like to learn from.

They are flexible in their approach to handling problems, but they have boundaries.   They take an interest in enthusiastic learners, but they are not indiscriminate.   They know the value of time and select the people they invest in carefully.  They are mature, that is to say they practice wisdom.

One of the traits that I admire most in a mentor and one that I want to foster in myself is that of a learner.  For me, this is one of the greatest benefits of being a mentor, learning from those I come alongside. Their breakthroughs become my breakthroughs.  Their growth is a learning opportunity for me.

What makes you a great mentor?
